Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016, at the Abshier Cemetery in Hankamer. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Janell was born September 16, 1940 in Monroe City, to parents; Marion M. and Fannie M. Norris Ainsworth, a former resident of Liberty County, and has resided in Groesbeck for a year and a half.
She was a retired cashier and a faithful church member. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing Yahtzee and Chicken Foot, and especially spending time with her family.
Mrs. Tolar was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Lloyd W. Simmons, Sr., son: Lloyd W. Simmons, Jr., daughter: Liddie P. Tolar, brothers: George Ainsworth, Joel "Barney" Ainsworth, Jack Ainsworth, and James Ainsworth, and sisters: Joyce Troope and Judy Marriett.
She is survived by her sons: Timmy Simmons, Sr. and wife Terry of Lumberton and James Norris and wife Charlene of Channelview, daughter: Pamela Shaver and husband Jerrell of Mart, brothers: JD Ainsworth and wife Marilyn of Hardin and Charles R. Ainsworth and wife Cindy of Hankamer, sister: Jane Cranford of Hankamer, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
