From this union 4 children were born; Norma Jean, Carman Lamoin; Bethel Eugene; and Chester Leon. For most of his life, he was a resident of Scurry and Nolan County, Texas, where he was a farmer. Had a passion in life for motorcycles. Rode them even when he was in his 70'd. He was a member of the Smiley Street Church of Christ in Loraine, Texas. He died at his home in Sweetwater, Texas from a heart attack
