He is survived by his wife, a son, Jason Briggs, a daughter, Erynn Chouinard and her husband, John, one grandson, Jarrett; and a sister, Mary Brewer and her husband, Floyd.
His parents; two sisters, Betty Letner and Joann Brazelton and a brother, Robert Briggs, preceded him in death.
Ralph was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He retired from Cabot in 1999 with 24 years of service as a Maintenance Mechanic.
Ralph was a member of the United Church of Christ in Tuscola.
