Charles Parker passed away Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at his home from congestive heart failure. The heart failure limited his body, but it could not touch his spirit. He was 66 years old.

Charles was born Dec. 13, 1949, to James and Edith Parker in Dove Creek, Colo. He grew up with his parents and nine siblings in Colorado and later Idaho.

He met his future wife, Virginia Jones, while living in southern Idaho. Charles and Virginia were married June 24, 1972, in Gooding, Idaho.

Throughout his life, Charles worked as a farm hand, delivery driver, warehouse person, truck driver and heavy equipment operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Edith Parker; a brother, Lloyd Parker; and sisters Mary Luper, Alma Allen and Cosie May Aulston.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow.
