Mrs. Griffin, daughter of the late Arthur and Katie Pippin Jackson, was a native of Round Oak but lived in Gordon most of her adult life. Widow of Ernest Leon "Joe" Griffin, she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Andy Griffin. She was a member of New Haven Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe Jr. and Dorothy Griffin of Indian Head, Md., and Kenneth and Karen Griffin of Macon; a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Burt Cronin of Savannah; a sister, Helen Leslie of Gordon; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
