GERALD PATRICK "JERRY" CLICK - 1941 – 2016

Jerry was born on November 24, 1941 in Many, Louisiana to Henry Melton and Edna (nee Gilcrease) Click, and passed away in Houston, Texas on October 17, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents and only sibling, Bettie Sue Martin.

Jerry is survived by spouse, Elaine Click, son John Click and spouse Liliana; also his grandchildren, Zackary, Bradley and Lainey Click, and great-granddaughter, Emerson Click.

Jerry graduated from high school at the age of 17 and joined the U.S. Navy, where he was trained in photography. After his tour of duty, he was employed in Huntsville, Texas and later obtained a job in the photo department of The Houston Post newspaper. He served as a staff photographer and assistant chief photographer until the Post's demise in 1995. He won many awards for his news photography during his twenty-five year tenure with the Post.

The family wishes to thank Dr. G. Thomas Keith, Dr. Philip Haas, and Dr. Redentor Roy for their services in helping Jerry over the past fifteen years. We also extend a special thanks to caregiver Rebecca for her help in caring for Jerry at home.

A private family service was held at Houston National Cemetery.
