Mrs. Maggie Stakes House, 72, wife of Vernon C. House and daughter of Thomas and Mrs. Narcissus Murden Stakes, died in a Norfolk hospital Friday at 11:05 a.m.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sadie Brown of Virginia Beach.
Mrs. House, a native of Princess Anne County, lived in this vicinity all her life, lately at 1067 W. 43rd St. She was a member of Burrows Memorial Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Sunday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
