BLACKSTOCK, Allen Age 78, of Stockbridge, passed away Jan. 16, 2014. Services Jan. 18. Ford-Stewart Funeral HomeMr. Allen E. "Paw Paw" Blackstock, age 78 of Stockbridge passed away on January 16, 2014.
Allen was born August 12, 1935 in Newnan, GA. He will be sadly and sorely missed by his loving family. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor along with his dedication to family and God. His kindness and gentle soul enriched all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his father and mother, Jessee and Savannah Blackstock, brothers, Sanford Blackstock, J.D. Blackstock, Fletcher Blackstock and sister, Helen Blackstock Chandler.

Survived by sister, Manelle Blackstock Warr, and the "lights of his life," wife, Virginia A. Bishop Blackstock; daughters, Angela Dawn Blackstock Hayes, and Teresa Lynn Robinson and husband, Eddie, grandchildren, Henry Bradford Ginn and wife, Danielle, Sara Dawn Ginn, and Jennifer Lynn Robinson, and great-granddaughter, Lily Dawn Ginn.

Allen was in the Naval Reserves for 2 years, and employed by College Park Fire Dept. for 4 years, and Bell South for 33 years.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Allen will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Jonesboro First Baptist Church Chapel, 142 College St. Jonesboro, GA. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers the family gratefully wish donations be made to the Alzheimers Foundation of America in memory of Allen.
