It is suggested that the Rene JULIAN III family and other related families migrated from Randolph County, North Carolina to the new state of Tennessee in about 1800. These folks most likely traveled in a caravan of wagons over the Appalachian Mountains to be among the first pioneers to settle in Knoxville, Tennessee. Knoxville was first settled in 1786 as the first capital of Tennessee. This wagon train and others to follow most likely included Julian, Allred, Aldridge and York families with their children and grandchildren. These pioneer families had intermarried and were some of the first settlers of Knoxville, Tennessee.
