Last evening at his residence in Susquehanna township, just without the city, died Henry Herr, one of the oldest and best known citizens of Dauphin county. Mr Herr has been ill for some time, but his death was not expected. During his life he was regarded as one of the representative men of the county, and was often called by the people to positions of trust and honor. As director of the Poor he was especially well known. He leaves a number of grown up children and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. Deceased was a brother of David S Herr of this city.
