Funeral services for Mrs. Ida C. Martin 96 will be held at 10:30 A. M. Tuesday June 6 2006 in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Mrs. Martin died June 2 2006 in DeLand FL. She was the daughter of the late W. R. and Tennie Hefley Aldridge Christopher. Mrs. Martin retired in 1968 from Montgomery Ward with 28 years service. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband William Russell Martin. Survivors include a son; a sister; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. today June 5 2006 at the funeral home. Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home 731-424-2424
