He was born on May 12, 1934 in Muncie, IN, the son of Franklin L. and Anna (Stubbins) Baker (mother's name incorrect. see parent link below).
Franklin attended Muncie Central High School and Ball State University. He retired from the United States Navy where he served as an electronics technician and was in active duty during Vietnam War. He also retired from Ball Corporation where he worked in electronic research. Frank served as an organist for St. Lawrence Catholic Church and retired after thirty years of service, he was active in amateur radio.
Survivors include two sisters, Helen Murrell (husband, Walter) and Mary Yore; special friend, Retha Bell; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin L. Baker Sr.; mother, Anna Baker; sister, George Ann Smith; and brother-in-law, Ronald Smith.
Friends and family may call from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
