A Celebration of Life for Faye Evelyn Ratliff of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Bull Shoals will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel Bull Shoals, with Heather Marsalis, Celebrant officiating.
Faye passed away October 10, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 86. She was born June 20, 1930, in Rogers City, Michigan, the second youngest of 9 children to Carlos and Fern Lavada Beebe Cole. She married Elzie "Del" Ratliff on January 26, 1949. Faye and Del moved to Bull Shoals in 1967. They became the owner operators of the Shorecrest Lodge, before opening Ratliff Realty. In addition to gaining her Real Estate License and working for 45 years at Ratliff Realty, she opened a health food store and taught and sold ceramics in the City of Bull Shoals. She loved to fish, but her first love was taking care of her home and cooking for friends and family. Her last years were spent happily at River Lodge Assisted Living of Mountain Home.
Faye is survived by her son, Jody (Terri Itzig) Ratliff of Yellville, AR; son, Kelvin (Teresa Reck) Ratliff of Fort Leonard Wood, MO; daughter, Carla Marberry of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Tabitha Norris, Jesse Trimble, Shannon and Brianna Marberry, John and David Ratliff, Alex Jagneaux; many great grandchildren; sister, Arlene Thornton of WI and brother, Roy Cole of MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 6 siblings.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas.
