Memorial services for Peggy Chandler Sanders, 71, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 7:00 P.M., on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, with Reverend Paul Chandler and Reverend Donnie Chamberlain officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Restland Memorial Chapel in Dallas. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanders passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 in Longview and was born on October 12, 1944 in Buna, Texas to Sam and Reba Chandler. She worked in sales for Texas Instrument for fourteen years and was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Sanders married Jimmy Sanders on December 6, 1962 in Dallas.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jimmy Sanders; daughters, Sandy Dutton and husband Stuart Tucker, of Aubrey, Texas, Deanne Hicks and husband Jerry, of Argyle, Texas; granddaughter, Tiffany Dutton, of Aubrey; grandson, Joshua Hicks, of Argyle; brothers, Sidney Chandler, Stephen (Pete) Chandler, and Paul Chandler, all of Gilmer.
Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Reba Chandler; sisters, Alice Merle Chandler and Carol Green and brothers, Donald and Herman Chandler.
