Maureen Rampton Nelson Topik, age 66, of Clinton, UT, passed away on October 9, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on November 1, 1949 to Doyle Henry and Ruth Ellen Adams Rampton in Tremonton, Utah; and was the youngest of five siblings. She attended school and graduated from Bear River High School in 1968, and attended Utah State University and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Education on June 3, 1972.

She was married and sealed to Grant Halling Nelson, Jr. on February 16, 1973 in the Ogden LDS Temple and settled in Corinne, Utah where she gave birth to a son and two daughters. Hal preceded her in death on October 16, 1989.

Maureen married Ronald Topik on November 3, 1990 and continued to reside in Corinne, Utah until 1996 when they moved to Clinton, Utah.

She worked as a secretary, receptionist, and patient service representative for many years. Maureen served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in many callings. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Maureen is survived by her three children, Bart Jathan (Louisa Jean) Nelson, of Garland, Alyssa (Jace) Mecham, of Elwood, and Jacquelyn (Jeremy) Cronquist, of Nampa, ID; eight grandchildren: Rachelle (Wade) Perry, Jesse Mae Mecham, Riley Jace Mecham, Kylee Kim Cronquist, Hallie Beth Nelson, Addison Delaney Nelson, Adam Grant Mecham and Cameron Halling Cronquist; two great-grandchildren: Bravery Perry and Caspin Perry; brothers: Richard (Ann) Rampton and Kent (Darla) Rampton; and sister, Helen (Richard) Reeder.

She was preceded in death by both husbands: Hal and Ron; her parents: and her sister, Elaine.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Belmont Ward Chapel, 16925 North 5200 West, Riverside UT. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Mantua Cemetery.
