She was born to Harold and Merle Adams and was raised in Claypool IN. The family moved to Chamberlain in 1946 where she graduated from High School. She attended the University of South Dakota.
She was married to Leland "Speck" Glissendorf in Oct of 1957, they are parents of three children. Martha and Leland built a farm four miles West of White Lake SD. Martha was also a bookkeeper for Chamberlain Clinic, Adams Agency and Brooks Hardware Store.
Martha was an EMT for White Lake Ambulance service and sang in community choirs. She enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles and card games with ehr grandchildren.
Martha is survived by her children, eight grandchhildren and two great grandchildren, and a brother.
