Billy J. Crowder, 74, Brownington, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at Research Hospital in Kansas City. He was born in Henry County on September 12, 2926, the son of Georgia Maye Crowder. He married Jo Ann Sampson on November 23, 1949, in Harrison, Arkansas. He was a retired rural mail carrier and a World War II Navy veteran. He was a very active member of the HUD Team responsible for the renovation of many of the houses in Brownington. He served on the Truman Water district Board for 16 years. He belonged to the Masonic Scottish Rites and Shriners. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Lincoln, and his grandparents, Dan and Rachel Crowder. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jo Anna, of the home; three sons, Larry and his wife, Sharon, Danny and his wife, Karen, Ronnie and his wife, Gloria; three daughters, Debbie Burrow and her husband, David, Karen Lasswell and her husband, Andy, and Pam Reynolds and Donnie Crump; grandchildren, Sarah Crowder, Chris Lasswell, Anna Lasswell, Aspen Burrow, Jon Crowder, Luke Crowder, Devin Burrow, Sasha Crowder and Britney Crowder, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were Wednesday, May 30, at Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery, Deepwater
