James Elmer Bull, of Vienna, formerly of Dixon, was born on June 13, 1951, at Waynesville, a son of Thomas Clinton and Minnie Louise (Eads) Bull, and departed this life at 8:18 a.m., on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at his residence, after suffering an apparent heart attack. Elmer had attained the age of 65 years, 3 months, and 16 days.

During his working life, Elmer had been the owner and operator of a junkyard as well as being a self-employed mechanic. Activities he especially enjoyed included being with his grandkids, fishing, and just being outside sitting on the porch having a cup of coffee.

Those left to mourn the passing of Elmer include: One son, Jimmy and Judy Bull, of Vienna; three grandsons, Justin Bull, Ethan Bull, and Trevor Fiedler, all of Vienna; one brother, Olen Bull, of Dixon; two nephews, Paul Bull of Dixon, and Kevin Bull of Vienna; one great-nephew, Thomas Bull; two great-nieces, Savannah Bull and Hayden Bull; and many other relatives and friends.

Elmer was preceded in death by one daughter, Stacy Lynn Bull, on September 10, 1980; his
father, Tommy, on March 23, 1981; his mother, Minnie, on September 5, 2001; one brother, Richard Dale Bull, in 1950, at the age of 5 years; and his sister-in-law, Diana Hazel
(Vaughan) Bull, on April 15, 2003.

The Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna is assisting Elmer’s family, who will gather at a later occasion to reflect on his life at a time of remembrance.

Memorials are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the Vienna Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home.
