MEADE – Janet L. Fincham, age 66, passed away late Friday evening, October 7, 2016, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.
She was born March 31, 1950, at Fowler, Kansas, the daughter of Virgil and Ann Hill. As a young girl she attended the Fowler school system, graduating from Fowler High School in 1968. She later attended the University of Kansas, later transferring to St. Mary of the Plains College earning a degree in accounting. A lifetime resident of Meade, she was an accountant and office manager for CMS for twenty-three years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, serving on the prayer group; the genealogical society; and was a board member of the FSA. She enjoyed genealogy, reading, puzzles, playing bridge, and spending time with her family and friends.
On January 31, 1970, she married Richard A. Fincham. He survives.
Other survivors include: Her children, Brett Fincham of Kansas City, Missouri Megan Regier of Overland Park, Kansas Tennille Fincham of Lawrence, Kansas
Two sisters, Judy Hill of Dodge City, Kansas Carla Patee of Dodge City, Kansas
Two grandchildren, Caston and Cale Regier
She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jeff Hill; and a sister, Dorothy Hill.
Funeral services will be held at 10:0 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the United Methodist Church, Meade. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
The family would welcome memorials to the Meade Public Library, Meade Hospital Friend Care Home Health, or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
