Violet M. Paulsen, age 78, of Manteno and formerly of New Lenox, passed away Saturday September 24, 2016 at Loyola Medical Center. She was born August 11, 1938 in Goodenow, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert and Mabel Oldenburg.
Violet married Walter A. Paulsen on January 26, 1957. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2005.
Surviving one son, Michael L. (Jackie) Paulsen of New Lenox; two daughters, Vickie (Kevin) Probst of New Lenox, Donna and Marty Burmistrz of Oak Forest; four grandchildren, Brian (Kelli) Paulsen, Brandon(Kayla) Paulsen, U.S.M.C., Kara Probst, Ryan Probst; four great grandchildren, Hayley, Hunter, Blake, and Remington.
She is also survived by one brother and two sister in laws, Herbert (Joann) Oldenburg of Washington, D.C. and Jean Oldenburg of Steger.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., also at the funeral home. Cremation Rites will be accorded following the services.
Inurnment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Memorials may be made to Illinois Veteran's Home in Manteno, IL.
