The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County attended Portal High School. He was a produce farmer for most of his life and also worked at J.P. Stephens for over five years and with Bulloch County Correctional Institute for four years. Mr. Joyce was a member of Clito Baptist Church.
Mr. Joyce was preceded in death by his parents Dave and Lillie Skinner; two daughters Anne Skinner Stewart and Janet Skinner Gwinnett; two sisters Elizabeth Skinner and Martha Faye Marsh; three brothers R.W. Skinner, Douglas Skinner and Larry Skinner.
A graveside service and burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. John Forrester officiating.
