Les was born on a farm one half mile north of Memorial Road and North Rockwell. He attended a small country school, graduating from the 8th grade. These students then went onto Deer Creek. However, before graduating, our country was at war. Les enlisted in the US Navy at only 17. After spending 2 years in the South Pacific, he came home and began to court Joan. They married 2 years later and their home was blessed with 2 amazing children.

After 39 years of service Les retired from OG&E, and then enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the garden, and raising horses on our farm.

Les leaves behind to mourn his passing his loving wife of 69 years, Joan; 2 children Toni, and Stephen and his wife Debbie; 2 grandchildren, Jason and his wife Kim, and Jennifer; 2 precious great-grandchildren, Joshua and Avery; one niece; one nephew; and many kind friends.

A celebration of his life will be held 10 am, Friday, October 14, 2016 at Bethany Church of Christ located on 3301 North Rockwell where he was a faithful member for over 67 years, burial will follow at Chapel Hill located on the NW Expressway and County Line Road.
