Blanche Mildred Colbaugh age 94 of Dayton died Tuesday December 19, 2006 in Rhea Medical Center. She was born November 18, 1912 in Rhea County, the daughter of the late W.A. and Octavia (Melton) Harris. She was also preceded in death by her husband Carl Edward Colbaugh and brothers, John, Richard, Lester, Henry, Frank and Jim Harris, two sisters, Ethel Harris and Maude Bishop. Blanche lived in Dayton all her life where she was a loving homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She formerly worked at Redford's and Shipley's Dime Stores and Elliot's Drug Store in Dayton. Blanche was an active member of Dayton Church of Christ. She loved the Lord and her church and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her three daughters, Mildred (Cecil) Crane, Amelia (Gordon) VanWinkle and Agatha (Sonny) Poole, one son, Albert (Sandy) Colbaugh all of Dayton, several nieces and nephews, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. Funeral services for Blanche will be held Friday at 11am in the funeral home chapel with Minister Steve Brown, Dr. Danny Ruehling and Rev. Bill Ewing officiating. Burial with a white dove release will be in Rhea Memory Gardens with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Thursday after 2:00pm.
