Charles Cleon Clay, 80 of Letart, WV, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, October 8, 2016 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Watson Cemetery, Branchland, WV. He was born June 9, 1936 in Branchland, WV, a son of the late Clarence Milton and Lilly Watts Clay. Charles was a retired pipe fitter for Kaiser Aluminum with 40 years of service and a member of the Steel Workers Union. A brother, Clarence Clifford Clay also preceded him in death. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Maxine Clay; a daughter, Pamela Mae Clay-Click and husband, Roderick of Mt. Alto, WV; a son, Terry Cleon Clay and wife, Marvette of Katy, TX; two brothers, Lyle Clay of Pecks Mill, WV, Harry Clay and wife, Gayle of Camden, SC; two grandchildren, Nathaniel James Amos, Kevin Randall Clay; four step-grandchildren, Darrell Williamson, Kaelie Graham, Leslie Turner and Ashlie Remlinger. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne, WV.
