Zachariah Watkins was the son of Rev. Samuel Watkins and Charity (unknown). He married Martha Yelverton on 13 Feb 1833 in Rupert, Marion Co., GA and they were the parents of eleven children.
Zachariah Watkins was 48 years old when the Civil War started and he served in the CSA Georgia Militia.
