Salem - Nancy Banks, age 63, passed away peacefully at the Salem Health Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on May 29, 1952 in Salem, Oregon to Norvell and Myrna Braziel. She grew up in Independence and graduated from Central High School in 1970. On May 7, 1976 she married Scott Banks in Independence. Nancy worked at Carlton Plants, LLC for 20 years, retiring in 2011 due to her health. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling to the beach and reading.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael and father, Norvell. She is survived by her mother Myrna, husband Scott, daughter Melissa Banks, son Craig McEldowney, sister Melodie Fournier, nieces Rachel and Courtney Fournier and her 3 fur babies, Cheyenne (Boxer/Dalmatian), Lucy (Cockapoo), and Rubie (Goldendoodle).
