Bette L. Miskimins Rock Creek Lake

Mrs. Bette Miskimins, of Rock Creek Lake near Kellogg died on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the age of 78.

Teaching was her chosen, much loved profession, preparation for which was obtained through earning a B.S. degree in education from Drake University and M.A. degree in ready from Northeast Missouri State Teachers' College, now known as Truman University.

Of her main and varied interests, her antique doll and toy collection, making of miniature furniture and helping the Animal Rescue League received the greatest share of her attention. Help of any kind for the ARL would have been considered by her to be one of the greatest of all memorials.

She will be missed by her husband, Rex; sister, Mary (Jim) Mitchell; her brother, J.R. Brown; brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Esther Miskimins and numerous nephews and nieces.

In accordance with her wishes, her body has been cremated, and no formal services will be held.
