His wife, who was Miss Lois Gaitskill, died seven years ago, leaving three children who survive him; Mrs. VanMeter, of Mississippi, Mrs. Howard of Versailles, and Mr. Robert Willis, of Lexington. Doctor Willis is also survived by one brother, Mr. Joe Willis, of Crab Orchard, and Mrs. Ann Cornelison of Richmond. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Susan Willis.
Doctor Willis was born and reared near Million, located on the Tates Creek Pike in Madison County. He has a host of warm friends who sorrow at his passing away.
The funeral was held on Monday afternoon and was conducted by the minister of the Christian church of which he was a member, after which the burial took place in the Lexington Cemetery.
