Sid entered the U S Army and served in Germany for 3 years as well as a tour in Vietnam. He served as Postal Officer in Quinon, Vietnam where he earned the Army Air Medal. After he left active duty he returned to Nashville where he joined the Tennessee Army National Guard, retiring with the rank of Colonel.
For 43 years he was an active, well known member of the insurance industry. He associated chiefly with Martin Hayes & Company, Seabury and Smith and Health 1 2 3, after which he established his private brokerage firm of Francisco & Associates. He proudly served on the Board of Directors for the Northwest YMCA for several years.
Sid enjoyed golf for many years, and was proud to have hit a hole in one at Temple Hills Golf Course. He and Jo enjoyed their second home in Sandestin, FL. It was his favorite vacation destination.
Sid loved travel and never met a stranger because he seemed to know people wherever he went. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
