Katherine Elizabeth Hudson Herrington was 1 of 3 children born to Katie Brooks Hudson and Henry Thomas Hudson. After high school graduation, she attended Wesleyan College in Macon, GA and graduated from Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, GA. She then went on to receive her masters degree from Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio, TX. In addition to teaching school in Georgia, and North Carolina, Katherine taught the 3rd grade at Castle Hills Elementary School in San Antonio until retirement.
Moving to Austin to be near her daughter, Katherine joined Memorial United Methodist Church and visited Gray United Methodist Church in Gray, GA. She taught at Victory Tutorial Program at the University Hills Branch Library in Austin. Katherine enjoyed playing bridge, growing flowers, and loved children.
Survivors ~ her son and his wife, her daughter and her husband, 3 grandchildren, and a niece.
