Radford ‘Pop' Baugham
Died Dec. 18, 2006
SHELBY — Mr. Radford "Pop" Calvin Baugham, 73, of Carter Road, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at home.
Born in York County, S.C., he was a son of the late Ben Thomas Baugham and Annie Bell Doster Baugham. He retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and was of the Baptist faith. Pop loved to tinker with stuff and loved to hunt and spend time with family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Florence Tessneer and Zella Peterson, and a grandson, Jerry Harold Tessneer II.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Harris Baugham of Shelby; sons, Terry Baugham and wife, Lisa, of Shelby, Bruce Dale Baugham of Lincolnton, Rodger Dale Baugham and wife, Carolyn, of Blacksburg, S.C., Jerry Harold Tessneer and wife, Tammy, of Lincolnton and Dennis Wayne Baugham of Asheville; friend, Junior Cogdell of the home; a daughter, Barbara "Bobbie" Baugham Martin and husband, Tim, of Kings Mountain; granddaughter, Robin Baugham of the home; a brother, Grady Baugham and wife, Betty, of Sacramento, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home.
Funeral: Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home Chapel
