John Cook Campbell is thought to be born in Iredell Co., NC, the son of Theophilus Marian Campbell. He married Charity H. Bailey on 14 Aug 1819 in Madison Co., AL and they had six children. After her death, he married her first cousin, Delphia P. Bailey, on 1 Oct 1839 in Yalobusha Co., MS and they had six more children. He migrated from Madison Co., AL to Yalobusha Co., MS in 1833 and migrated to Titus Co., TX in 1873. He died after the 1880 Census and is buried without a headstone in Union Hill Cemetery.
