Mary Mollie Gamble was the daughter of Elisha Howell Gamble and Sarah Ann Hendricks. She married William Ervin Nathaniel Watkins on 2 Oct 1872 in Titus Co., TX and they were the parents of ten children.

William Ervin Nathaniel and Mary Mollie Watkins received 100 acres of the Margaret McCowan survey, as a surviving heir to her mother Sarah Ann Hendricks Gamble. They were farmers and raised their family on their homestead located between Linden and Hughes Springs. They were members of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Sardis Community. They are remembered as the finest of friends, hard workings, clean living, Christians, with a real ability to farm.
