He was born July 31, 1946 in Bens Run West Virginia, a son of the late Clarence and Gladys (Dalrymple) Barnhart.
Paul worked for Eagle Manufacturing Company where he retired from on August 1, 2008 after 39 years. He was also a volunteer firefighter since the age of 9 where he began as a junior fireman for Hooverson Heights Volunteer Fire Department. Paul was a member of Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church and an avid member of Country Friends and Tri-State Music. He loved riding his 2010 John Deer, cutting down wheat and bailing it. He enjoyed listening to country music, camping and watching westerns. Paul did not know a stranger. He will be remembered for his big loving heart and that beautiful ornery smile that will live in the hearts of all that knew him.
He is survived by his loving and faithful wife Jacqueline Zaslocke-Barnhart of Weirton, whom he married on Jan. 18. 2014, his son Daniel Barnhart of Follansbee, grandchildren Shanda, Austin, Jake, Storm, Kaitlyn, Zack and Gage all of Follansbee, brother Ed Barnhart and wife Rose of Cadiz and sister Violet Corso of Beach Bottom.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1-6 P.M. at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St. Weirton, WV and on Friday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. at Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church, 121 Ivy St., Weirton, WV The Reverend William Stout will officiate.
