Mrs. Kilpatrick had resided in West Monroe since 1921. She was a retired educator and a member of the Parkview Baptist Church. She was founder and first director for the School for Handicapped Children in Ouachita Parish.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kilpatrick; three brothers, Paul, Jack and Leslie Nichols; and two sisters, Ella Mae and Beatrice Myers.

She was survived by one brother, E. C. "Toby" Nichols and wife Mollie of New Caney, TX; nieces and nephews.
