Graveside services for Elizabeth Emmabelle Sedgwick, 86, Baldwin, formerly of Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Silent City Cemetery, DeSoto.

Mrs. Sedgwick died Saturday, April 13, 2002, at her home.

She was born Nov. 13, 1915, in Independence, Mo., the daughter of Clarence W. Sr. and Blanch Rosely (Steuterman) McMechan. She moved to Lawrence in 1960, working as a cook, supervisor and certified nurse's assistant at Valley View Nursing Home until her retirement in 1982.

She married Everett Earnest Oshel on March 21, 1938. He died Feb. 13, 1963. She then married Everett Sedgwick in 1970. He died earlier.

Survivors include six sons, Warren L. Oshel, Raymond A. Oshel, Marvin G. Oshel, P. Earnest J. Oshel, David W. Oshel and Roger Neal Oshel, all of Lawrence; two daughters, Patrice E. Wells, Emporia, and Virginia L. Oshel, Baldwin; 35 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

A son, Alfred Oshel, and a daughter, Darlene J. Oshel, died earlier. Twin sons died at birth.
