Mrs. Laidet was born in Standard, the daughter of Anna (McCardle) and Albert Henley.
She lived in Calaveras County for 84 years. She attended Willow Creek Elementary School and Calaveras High School.
She settled in Mokelumne Hill 56 years ago.
She married Clovis C. Laidet on June 14, 1947, in Gardnerville, Nev.
Mrs. Laidet managed a health research book company in Mokelumne Hill for 33 years.
She was treasurer of the Parent-Teacher Association, a Girl Scouts troop leader, member of the Mokelumne Hill Women's Club, a Bethel Guardian for Job's Daughters International. She was also a 35-year member of the Azalea Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and represented the grand chapter of California.
She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, and making lab robes for cancer patients.
Mrs. Laidet was preceded in death by her husband, Clovis C. Laidet; and son, Mitchell C. Laidet.
An Order of the Eastern Star service was held Monday.
