Robert E. Allen, 86, of 1855 Alfresco Place, died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Baptist Hospital East.
He was a native of South Grove, and was a member of Douglas Boulevard Christian Church. Until his retirement several years ago, he had been a life insurance agent for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Davis and Mrs. Mary L. Koenig; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home. 1201 E. Oak St., with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.
The body will be at the funeral home afternoon Friday.
