Ms. Conner was born January 21, 1944 in Lufkin, to the late Guy Conner and Gertrude Weems Conner and died Thursday, September 29, 2016 in Lufkin.
Doris was a 1962 graduate of Lufkin High School, and went on to work at Eckerd’s drug store for 35 years. She had a sweet and outgoing personality and never met a stranger. Doris loved everyone and they loved her back. She especially loved her dog, Popcorn (Poppy).
She is survived by a number of cousins and life time friend, Nicky Lowery and family.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Carolyn Joyce Conner.
