INFO FROM DOROTHY'S Grand-daughter
Dorothy was born in Revelstoke, BC on May 23,1898 and grew up in Salmon Arm, BC. She married William George Reekie in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 5, 1928 (they met at university). Dorothy died in Quebec on Feb. 8, 1930 and is buried in the Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery, The Blue Mountains, Grey County, Ontario. Dorothy died from tuberculosis from un-pasteurized milk. They had one child (my Mom) Margery Ann Reekie who was born on January 4, 1930 in La Malbaie, (Murray Bay) Quebec. William and Dorothy were in Quebec at that time because William was an engineer and was working on a project there. My Mom is still alive and lives in Victoria, BC. Dorothy and William are buried in Thornbury as that is where the Reekies were originally from
