Elvira Marie (Dinkel) David was born on October 2, 1929 and passed away on September 25, 2016.

Today we lost a huge piece of our hearts, our mother. She was born in Ness City, Kansas to Alec and Mary Dinkel on their farm and was one of eleven brothers and sisters. They moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where at twenty-one, she met and married George A. David on May 15, 1951. They started their family and had five children.

During that time, she worked for the Department of Social Services. After retiring, she enjoyed her grandchildren and was known as “Grammy”. She had seventeen grandchildren to keep her very busy. She was also very devoted to her church and had a deep belief in God. Now there are great-grandchildren; too many to count and a new great-great-grandchild.

Mom was all about family and had a great ability to listen and give advice. We all will miss that about her.
Mom was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter, Jeanette and infant grandson, Dylan and other loved ones. We will love you forever and a day… Until we meet again!

There will be a Viewing, 6:00 PM, Thursday, September 29th with Rosary/Vigil at 7:00 PM at Goes Funeral Care, Fort Collins. Mass of the Resurrection, 9:30 AM, Friday, September 30th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Fort Collins. Reception to follow then Interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Collins.
