Mrs. Lavina C. Alley, 86. died at her home at 522 South Chestnut Saturday afternoon.
She was born in Ringgold, Iowa, and came to Iola in 1916.
Mrs. Alley was a member of the Trinity Methodist church.
She is survived by two sons, J. M. Alley and A. D. Alley, of Kansas City; Charles Ruby, brother, of Ft. Scott; and Mrs. Josephine Alley, sister, of Kansas City.
Funeral services were held at the Trinity Methodist church at 2:30 p. m. The Rev. G. M. Pierce officiated. Burial was at Highland cemetery.
