Barbara Joyce Smitherman, of Clanton died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Fairview Heath and Rehab in Birmingham. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Shanghi Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 to 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Nolan and Betty Forester, husband, Willie Smitherman, and grandson, Dawson Garcia.
