Born in Savannah to the late Leonard Jackson McDaniel Sr. and Betty Carolyn Rogers McDaniel, Jack retired as a Deputy Sheriff with the rank of Sergeant from the Bibb County Sheriffs Office in 1999.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Marleen; his children, Scott Jackson McDaniel (Crystal) of Bonaire, Shaun McDaniel (Taylor) of Louisville, KY, and Melissa Castle (Travis) of Warner Robins; grandsons, Hunter McDaniel and Sawyer McDaniel; brother, Thomas Wayne McDaniel (Patty) of Crawford County; sister, Karen Tootle (Mike) of Pooler; stepdaughter, Kara Lynn Mattingly of Lexington Park, MD; and step grandson, Jon Thomas Mattingly. He is preceded in death by a brother, Scotty McDaniel.
