OBITUARY:
Cherokee County Herald - Feb. 25, 1998

Mrs. Thelma Studdards Woods, 69, of Rome, passed away Friday, Feb. 20, following a lengthy illness. She was a native of Cherokee County, had lived in Rome and Floyd County for most of her life and was a member of Full Gospel Church in Kingston.

Services were Sunday, Feb. 22, at 2 PM in the Heritage Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Revs. C.F. Wilkey and Earl Wilkey officiating. Burial was in the Hebron Cemetery with Jennings Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Woods is survived by her husband, Walter Woods; a son, James Robert Devier Jr. of Summerville; three sisters, Lessie Ann Barret of Centre, Blondell Davis of Cave Spring and Farry May Tucker of Rome; three brothers, Windell Lane Studdards of Cedartown, Hugh Don Studdards and John B. Studdards, both of Cave Spring and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Gene Devier and two grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Harry Studdards and Ora Rogers Studdards.
