Mrs. ELIZABETH ELLSWORTH HUTCHINS, widow of Waldo Hutchins, died at her home in King's Bridge, yesterday. Her husband was a member of the first Park Board of New York City, in 1857, and also was member of the same Board at the time of his death in 1891. He represented this district in Congress for several terms.
Mrs. Hutchins was a daughter of Governor William Wolcot Ellsworth, of Connecticut, and a granddaughter of Justice Oliver Ellsworth and of Noah Webster. She was a prominent member of the Colonial Dames, and at the time of her death was Chairman of the committee in charge of the Van Cortlandt mansion in Van Cortlandt Park.
