Edith Rose Fergason passed away Saturday, September 2016 at her home in Blum. She was born August 27, 1938 in Hill County to Jodie Jefferson and Gussie Fair Brown.

On June 29, 1957, she married Clay Dell Fergason. Clay Dell preceded her in death in 1994.

Edith was a cafeteria cook and a proud supporter at Blum ISD, retiring with 23 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and a friend to many. One of her favorite pastimes was scratching lottery tickets. Edith was a member of First Baptist Church in Blum.

She was preceded in death by her parents and all her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Lynn Fergason and wife Jona Beth, and Clay Dell Fergason, Jr. and Pamela Capehart; daughter, Jody Elaine Fergason; grandchildren Jimmy Ray Fergason and wife, Brandy, Daniel Trent Fergason and Ashley Down Smith, Haley Lynn Fergason; great grandchildren, Trinity, Keylee, Dalton, Brynlea Rose; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Ken Coleman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Blum Cemetery.
