Mr. John Henry "Doc" Collins age 85 of Lick Branch Rd. Flat Lick, KY departed this life on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at his home. He was born in Knox Co. on September 11, 1931 to John and Delia Collins.

Mr. Collins was a member of Young Grove Baptist Church. He was a farmer and a saw mill worker. He was also well known in the area for the chairs and rocking chairs that he made. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John & Delia Collins, two brothers, Bill & Ben Collins and two sisters, Julia Brown and Maudie Mills.

He is survived by his sister Ida Hobbs of Flat Lick and one sister in law, Ella Ballard and husband Roy of Flat Lick along with a host of many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. John Collins will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m .with Rev. Mike Collins, Rev. Gilbert Collins and Rev. Bill Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Collins. He will be laid to rest in the A.J. Gray Cemetery at Flat Lick. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
