Louis M. Colen, "vice-president of Bilco Corp. of Lancaster," died Tuesday, 15 September 1970 at Dallas, Texas, aged eighty-three years. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, he had been a Dallas resident for ten years, having previously lived in Alameda, California; Woodward, Oklahoma; and Waurika, Oklahoma. His wife, Adele Badt Colen; two sons—William J. Colen (Dallas) and Albert Colen (Piedmont, California); a brother, Adolph Cohen (Fort Worth); a sister, Mrs. Minnie Friedman (Fort Worth); and four grandchildren survived him. Rabbi Gerald J. Klein officiated at services held Wednesday, 16 September 1970, at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Chapel. Entombment followed at Hillcrest Mausoleum.
