Clearville, PA – Ralph Fredrick Hartsock, 81, of Clearville, PA, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born December 12, 1934, in Cumberland, MD, Mr. Hartsock was the son of the late Robert Kenneth Hartsock and Dorothy (McElfish) Hartsock.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, KIA in Vietnam, Robert Hartsock, CMH Recipient; and a baby sister: Helen Hartsock.
A graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1950, Fred retired from the Kelly-Springfield Rubber and Tire Company. He was a life-member of the Prosperity Christian Church having served as Deacon, Superintendent, and Sunday School Teacher. He was also a life-member of the NRA.
Fred is survived by his wife of 63 years: Alma Hartsock; and his children: Gary Hartsock and wife, Robin, Lyndonville, VT; Craig Hartsock and wife, Laurie, Clearville, PA; and Jo Ann McLemore, Oklahoma City, OK. He also leaves behind his sister: Rita Kline of Georgia; and his grandchildren: Jesse Hartsock and wife, Whitney; Nathan Hartsock and wife, Heather; Levi Hartsock; Joseph, Thomas, Ted, and Jed Hartsock; Jenny and husband, Tim; Katie, Kristi, and Hannah Hartsock; Kelly McLemore, Laura Spaith, Andrew McLemore and wife, Kathryn; Daniel, Stephen, Timothy, and Caleb McLemore. Fred is also survived by his great granddaughters: Lily, Jade, Alissa, Emma, Aria, Taylin, Annie, and Tara; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Monday, September 26, 2016, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Prosperity Christian Church on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at 11:00 A.M., with Reverend John Miller and Reverend Reuben Rinker officiating. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Prosperity Christian Cemetery.
